The Plan

Our Mission

Our mission is very simple: to help you and your loved ones get to heaven. That is why we do the Daily Rosary Podcast. That is why we are building the Movement of the Holy Family. That is why we want to give you a concrete plan for formation, not just inspiration, not just information, but a simple way of life. Because we want to help you do two things: We want to form you in the habits of holiness. Second, we want to give you guided practice in the skills of friendship, conversation, prayer, and invitation, so you can help your loved ones come closer to Jesus and get to heaven.

In other words, we are building a worldwide movement of people who live friendship with Jesus and friendship with others. Friendship with Jesus leads to holiness. Friendship with others becomes the bridge by which we cross over to others and help them cross over to God.

Two

We Need a Way of Life

The purpose of life is holiness. Holiness is not just being nice. It is not just external activity. Holiness is a real participation in the divine life and activity of God. God infuses His life into our souls in Baptism, and then we cooperate with Him so that His way of thinking, desiring, loving, and acting transforms ours. That is what we see in the saints: heroic virtue and heroic love.

But if we want to become holy and if we want to help our loved ones get to heaven, then we need more than good intentions. We need a way of life. We need a plan. Because holiness is for everyone, and it’s not vague. Holiness is concrete. It has practices. It has habits. So we want to help you live seven habits of holiness.

First, live by the power of the Holy Spirit through Mary. We must stop trying to live by our own power alone. The Holy Spirit forms Jesus in us, and He does this through Mary. So belong entirely to Mary, so the Holy Spirit may form Jesus in you.

Second, receive Jesus frequently in the Eucharist. The Eucharist is Jesus Himself. If holiness is union with Christ, then we must receive Him, adore Him, and let Him transform us.

Third, practice daily meditation on the Word of God. Every day, read and reflect on the Word of God. Listen to what God is saying, and then make one concrete resolution to do what He asks. Meditation should lead to action. Good actions become good habits. Good habits become virtues. And virtues transform us in love.

Fourth, live a well-ordered Plan of Life. We need a structure that makes holiness possible: sleep, prayer, sacraments, nutrition, exercise, meaningful work, friendship, good conversation, knowledge, beauty, good fun, silence, and rest.

Fifth, remove the destructive forces of sin and the near occasions of sin. We cannot become holy while making peace with the things that destroy us. We need a daily examination of conscience, repentance, and frequent Confession.

Sixth, learn the fullness of the Catholic faith and way of life. We need to know what God has revealed through Scripture, Tradition, and the teaching of the Church, and then learn how to live it. The Catholic Faith is not just information. It is the plan for happiness.

Seventh, build bridges of friendship so that we can cross over to others and help them cross over to God.

These seven habits are simple. But they must be lived. And we want to help you live them.

Three

We Want to Help Our Loved Ones

But it is not just about our personal holiness. I want my loved ones to get to heaven. And I know you do too. You probably carry people in your heart who have fallen away from God, from the Church, from the Sacraments, maybe even from prayer. You love them. You pray for them. You worry about them. And often, you do not know what to do. You may be afraid to say the wrong thing. You may be afraid of pushing them further away. You may not feel competent or confident to help your loved ones grow closer to God. But you are in the best position to help them, because you know them. You love them. You live with them, work with them, speak with them, eat with them, and spend time with them.

Most people do not need a professional theologian first. They need someone who loves them, listens to them, prays for them, sacrifices for them, builds a bridge of friendship, and gently invites them to take the next step toward God. That is something you can learn. You just need a simple way. And you need practice. And that is what we want to give you.

Four

Don’t Fight Alone

We are in a spiritual war to save souls. But this battle is not fought with physical weapons. It is fought with prayer, sacrifice, friendship, good conversation, mentoring, spiritual direction, and faithful love. But no one should fight this battle alone. That is why God has given us this Movement.

In 2005, Archbishop Naumann formally recognized our mission as a Public Association of the Faithful. That means this is not merely a podcast audience. It is a real Catholic movement, recognized by the Church, for the good of souls. And the members of this Movement form a common spiritual treasury. Together, we offer our prayers, works, joys, sufferings, sacrifices, and love for the salvation of others, especially our loved ones.

You are not praying alone. You are not suffering alone. You are not carrying your loved ones alone. You are joined to a real spiritual communion of people who are intentionally offering their lives for the salvation of others. But this does not happen automatically. It requires a free act of the will. You choose to belong. You choose to unite your life to this mission. You choose to carry others, and you allow others to carry you.

Five

Three-Part Concrete Plan

So here is the three-part concrete plan to help you grow in holiness and help your loved ones get to heaven. First, pray the Rosary Podcast every day. Let us help you meditate on the Word of God, learn the Catholic Faith, make concrete resolutions, and grow little by little in the rest of the habits of holiness. Then join the Movement of the Holy Family. Do not remain just a listener. Become part of the mission. Unite your prayers, works, joys, and sufferings with tens of thousands of others for the salvation of our loved ones.

Third, you need to practice and we can help. You do not necessarily need more knowledge. What you need is guided practice helping your loved ones. We have a simple process that will help you develop the skills of friendship and conversation, prayer and invitation, and mentoring so that you can grow in confidence and competence very quickly.

So today, I want to invite you to take a simple step. Join the Movement of the Holy Family, and we will help you practice the skills to help your loved ones to Heaven.  This is the plan. The Podcast forms you daily. The Movement unites us spiritually. The guided practice gives the skills to help your loved ones get to heaven.  After the Rosary, click “Join the Movement.” And we will help Our Lady build this spiritual army together.
