The Sign
Today, September 25th, is the anniversary of a fully approved Marian apparition you may not be familiar with, but it is extremely important for the conversion of our fallen-away family and friends.
From 1983 to 1990, Jesus and Mary appeared to Gladys Quiroga de Motta, a humble wife and mother of two in San Nicolás, Argentina. Over the course of these years, she received more than 1,800 messages calling for conversion, consecration, prayer, and sacrifice. Early on, Our Lady asked that a church be built in her honor under the title Our Lady of the Rosary of San Nicolás. The local bishop, however, was hesitant and asked for a sign. That sign came through a boy named Gonzalo, just seven years old, who was dying of brain cancer and paralyzed on his right side. Though near death, his one desire was to receive his First Holy Communion. The bishop sent a priest, who not only gave Gonzalo the Eucharist but also entrusted him to Mary under the title of the reported apparition. Only 45 minutes later, Gonzalo’s paralysis disappeared. Within three weeks, doctors confirmed the large brain tumor was completely gone.
The bishop had his sign. Construction began on the great sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of San Nicolás, which today stands as a place of pilgrimage for thousands who come seeking grace and healing.

Rescue Mission
At San Nicolas, Mary said that she has come on a rescue mission to save souls from going to hell and to lead them to heaven. She needs our help, “God's warning is over the world. Those who stay in the Lord have nothing to fear, but those who deny what comes from him do. Two-thirds of the world is lost, and the other part must pray and make reparation for the Lord to take pity. The devil wants to have full domination over the earth. He wants to destroy. The earth is in great danger."
Two-thirds of the world is lost. That means they are in danger of going to hell by their own free choice. And the 1/3 that are willing must do all they can to help the 2/3.
December 15, 1986, "My daughter, because of a few good people, many bad people will be saved. I mean that with prayer, with the continual prayer of true Christians, many will reach salvation.
Three
Consecration to Mary
At San Nicolas, Mary gave us three powerful means to use in this rescue mission to help bring our family and friends back to faith in Jesus and to receive His divine life in the Sacraments. They are consecration to Mary, the Rosary, and Sacrifice.
The first thing Our Lady asks of us is consecration to her Immaculate Heart. On October 13th, 1988, Mary said, “It is good that my children know that I ask them for consecration since, when they are consecrated to my heart, they belong to the Mother as well as to the Son. My own light will remove all darkness by permitting my children to walk on the path which God has established.”
Why is consecration so important?
Jesus longs to give us His divine life, but we resist. The mission of the Holy Spirit is to receive the Son in the Trinity and in us, and the Spirit does this through Mary, as at the Annunciation and Pentecost. The Spirit’s maternal mission is to conceive and form Jesus in souls, and this mission is carried out through Mary. By consecrating ourselves to Mary, we invite both the Spirit and Mary into our hearts to receive Jesus and to form Him within us.

The Power of the Rosary
We all have family and friends who do not practice their faith. At San Nicolas, Our Lady tells us that one of the most powerful means to help with their conversion is to pray the Rosary for that person every day. She said, “The weapon that has the greatest influence on evil is to say the Rosary. You see this crown because this is what I want you to do, create a real crown of rosaries. Pray my daughter pray. How many mouths remain silent, still without even knowing a single prayer which may bring them close to the Lord! The Holy Rosary is the weapon which the enemy fears. It is also the refuge of those who look for relief for their sufferings, and it is the door to enter into my heart.”
Even though they do not know it yet, our loved ones are counting on our daily Rosary for their conversion.
Five
Sacrifice
On March 21st, 1988, Our Lady said, “There are two ways to save a soul: prayer and sacrifice.”
We vastly underestimate the power of offering up voluntary sacrifices to Jesus for the conversion of our loved ones. Jesus said to St. Faustyna, “My daughter, I want to instruct you on how you are to rescue souls through sacrifice and prayer. You will save more souls through prayer and suffering than will a missionary through his teachings and sermons alone.” 1767
There are two forms of sacrifice: that which you choose, like fasting from foods and drinks, or fasting from unnecessary screen time. And then there is the sacrifice you did not choose, the difficulties, contradictions, sicknesses, and losses that you did not choose, do not like, and cannot change.
Let’s make the resolution to choose one specific sacrifice to offer up for the conversion of a loved one today. And when a sacrifice you did not choose is presented, let’s accept that as well and offer for their conversion.
Consecration, the daily Rosary, and sacrifice – the souls of your loved ones are counting on you!

Prayer Intentions
Here are some recent prayer intentions from our community:
I pray that my son Daniel is freed from the physical, mental and emotional effects of alcohol & drug abuse, that he leads a Christ centered purposeful life and finds a Christian woman to support him and he in her for a grace filled life of marriage.
Amen - JoAnnPlease pray for my husband who is trying to find his way in the Catholic faith. Help him embrace the beauty and healing power of the sacraments. Also, our adult children who have fallen away from the faith over the years. Help them ignite the flame to see their way through this toxic world and back to the Church. Thank you, Betsy
